About the role

ASC builds custom AI for clients across finance, healthcare, construction, and e-commerce. As a Senior AI / ML Engineer you own the modeling work on an engagement: you take a scoped problem, prove it is feasible on real data, and carry it through to a system that runs in production and holds up under review.

This is delivery work, not a research sandbox. The same engineers who scope a project ship it, so you stay accountable from the first data audit to handover. You will work alongside a solutions architect, data engineers, and the client team, and you will defend your choices to people who will run the system after you leave.

What you'll do

  • Frame a client problem as an ML problem: define the target, the evaluation, and what "done" means before building.
  • Build, fine-tune, and evaluate models across classical ML, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and generative AI, matched to the task.
  • Co-author the evals that define success with the client, and hold the model to them.
  • Integrate models into client systems and hand them over with monitoring, retraining triggers, and documentation.
  • Review teammates’ modeling work and mentor mid-level engineers on the delivery bar.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years building ML systems, with several shipped to production and kept running.
  • Strong Python and the modern ML stack (PyTorch or TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, scikit-learn).
  • Fluency with the full lifecycle: data auditing, feature work, training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • A track record of choosing the simplest model that meets the bar, and knowing when a fine-tuned LLM is the wrong tool.
  • Clear written and spoken communication with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with RAG systems, agentic workflows, or LLM fine-tuning at scale.
  • Regulated-domain delivery (finance or healthcare) with the compliance work that comes with it.
  • Working proficiency in Korean or Japanese.

How we hire

  1. 1

    Intro call

A short conversation about your background, what you want to work on, and how ASC works.

  2. 2

    Technical conversation

A working session on real problems in your area, closer to how we actually work than to a quiz.

  3. 3

    Team and offer

Meet the people you would work with, then a decision, usually within a week.
